Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has always sold its flats in HNI, Middle income and Economical weaker section of society segment with lottery after 1999. It is the first time it is offing its flat on “first come and first get” basis in Vasai Virar as there was no takers.
MHADA is now all set to attract buyers for its 2,200 unsold flats from the Virar-Bolinj scheme. The housing board responsible to build housing in the state has decided to keep the lottery open on a first-come first-serve basis even after the date for the application expired.
A project in MMR by MMRDA to supply 185 MLD of water to Vasai Virar region and adjoining villages was ready in October 2023. MMRDA started supplying the water from Surya Dam to VVMC. 78 MLD of water was taken into the system, which went up to 85 MLD.
With this the region has again gain attraction from home buyer in economic section but the scheme of first come first serve is still on.
